The Importance of Mixing: How to Compare Lab Scale Mixing with Full Scale Process Vessel Performance

The Importance of Mixing: How to Compare Lab Scale Mixing with Full Scale Process Vessel Performance

Columbia, MD (PRWEB) April 16, 2009

METTLER TOLEDO invites you to view a free on-demand webinar The Importance of Mixing: How to Compare Lab Scale Mixing with Full Scale Process Vessel Performance.

Process objectives are critical for successful manufacturing of a product. If the mixing scale-up fails the required yield, quality, or physical properties of the product and the costs of manufacturing may be significantly increased . Failure to provide the necessary mixing may result in severe manufacturing problems on scale-up, ranging from costly corrections in the plant to complete failure of a process. The costs associated with these problems are far greater than the cost of adequately evaluating and solving the mixing issues during process development. Conversely, the economic potential of improved mixing performance is substantial. Therefore, at the heart of any scale-up chemical process, there has to be a fundamental understanding of how the mixing processes in a lab reactor compares to the mixing performance of a full scale process vessel which is targeted to receive the lab developed process.

Your webinar presenter, Reinaldo (Ray) Machado, is President of rm2 Technologies LLC, a company focused on teaching the application of practical mixing technology. Ray is also employed by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in Allentown, PA. He has served as a part-time instructor of a short course entitled “Scale-Up Considerations in Chemical Processes” at Lehigh University and currently teaches industrial courses on the fundamentals of scale-up.

As part of their commitment to continuing education, METTLER TOLEDO offers free webinars in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

International Tax Experts Examine the Taxation of Multinational Corporation Loan Guarantees in BNA Webinar Following U.K. Summit

London, United Kingdom (PRWEB) October 15, 2010

At a time when lending institutions are naturally risk-averse, multinational corporations increasingly find themselves providing guarantees to enable group members to obtain loans on satisfactory terms. Where a cross-border element is involved, analysing the potential tax consequences can be complex and subject to a degree of uncertainty. The tax treatment of loan guarantee fees has been receiving a lot of attention lately, particularly in light of the GE Capital case in Canada, the Container Corp. case in the U.S. and the September 27 law effectively overturning the decision in the latter case.

On October 22nd, a new webinar from BNA, Tax Treatment of Loan Guarantees: A Multijurisdictional Perspective, immediately following the Tax Management International Forum meeting in London, will draw on leading experts from the U.K., U.S., Netherlands and Belgium who will examine their own and other countries’ perspectives on the tax treatment of loans.

In this premier 60-90 minute webinar event, registrants will get the details on the tax treatment of loan guarantees in the U.S. and Europe as expert panelists address:

Deductibility of loan guarantee expenses. Taxation of loan guarantee income (both under domestic law and within a treaty context). Viability of obtaining deductibility of a guarantee expense and non-taxation of the guarantee income. Determining arm’s-length pricing for loan guarantees. Special considerations where a loan guarantee is provided by a head office to a foreign branch or permanent establishment.

There has never been a more critical time for multinationals and their tax advisers to familiarise themselves with the issues surrounding the U.S. and European approaches to the taxation of loan guarantees.

NOTE: All registrants will additionally receive a copy of the September 2010 issue of the Tax Management International Forum, containing papers by practitioners in 15 different countries discussing the tax treatment of loan guarantees in their particular country.

Webinars vs. Websites

It has been said that webinars are the most underestimated business model on the internet e’er, but it seems a lot of people aren’t doing them. They are centring more on building websites rather than covering this immense opportunity that is uncommitted with webinars. The question is why?

Let us get to the principal reason why people don’t do webinars.

It is all to do with people considering it is far too complicated for them to do. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth it just takes five minutes to placed one up. You simply necessitate to go through a few steps which are easygoing to dawdle and twist up with the audience at the advantageous time.

The problem is that you don’t yet cognize if your product is going to be a success or not. It could be a dud, and you would have blown all that time and effort into building that site permit solely the costs. Can you but ideate how tenacious it takes to posed up a website?

If you are a non-techie like me, moving downward geek street acquiring all that HTML puts my head in a whirl!

Why webinars though?

Hosting a webinar is cheaper, faster and more leveraged than a traditional website. More significantly, you can get 10 times more sales with a genuinely knock-down webinar.

Whether or not it is dwell or automated, the downright minimal you can anticipate is a 10% conversion. However, you must do certain that you over present with whatever you’ve promised in your presentation. Another thing, your solicit has to be connected to the topic of your webinar.

With a website it is a known that they merely converts around 1% which is regarded as full. Now, if we analogize this to a webinar, then it becomes a no brainer. Webinars romp hands downward.

There have still been reports of people receiving conversions in excess of 50% and doing a lot of money, yet from beginners!

Also, you can glimpse that each email on your database is meriting a lot more if you give veritable webinars. Simply because it is personal, interactive, dwell in many cases, and people get a sense of the host’s personality. Thus, the passion is much more knock-down, leveraged and credible.

Remember, websites withal have their place on the web it is merely that if you compare it with webinars, there is no comparison. Together, you have an outstanding combination for your online business.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) November 24, 2005

Mr. Chad Burmeister, Founder and Former President and CEO of Tele-SalesForce, Inc. and Rick Johnson, WebEx Solutions Expert, will be hosting this educational webinar to cover:

-The typical metrics of a telesales campaign

-The typical metrics of a webinar

-The difference in am per lead and quality of lead

Mr. Burmeister and Tele-SalesForce have been written about in the Scottsdale Tribune, Essentials of Business Process Outsourcing by Dr. Thomas Deuning, and has been assisted companies with outsourced business development and lead generation for the past 5+ years. The information shared will open your eyes to the power of complimenting your telesales programs with educational webinars.

On the one hand, Executives believe that their Account Executives and sales teams should be responsible for finding and qualifying their own leads. The other school of thought is to completely outsource the process to lower been resources who are trained in the latest telesales techniques so that the sals team can focus on closing. The answer is not surprised at all–a balanced approach to lead generation is the best way. However, as case studies have shown, by using telesales compound with webinars often produce the better results.

In this first of a two-part webinar series, David Rowlee, Ph.D., Morehead’s Vice President, Physician Research Services, and Brad Morton, Morehead’s Vice President, Product Management and Physician Surveys, will discuss how generational factors impact physician engagement. The entry of Generation X physicians to healthcare represents a profound demographic shift for hospitals. Morehead’s national study reveals different views that Gen X, Baby Boom, and Traditionalist Generation physicians maintain toward key aspects of health systems, including quality of care, hospital strategies, leadership performance, and how these perceptions combine to impact their loyalty. In order to engage all generations, hospitals must understand these differences and how to address them.
