I just bought a new macbook for my wife and we are installing software. It is the first Mac either of us have ever touched. I’m struggling a bit but was able to install Skype and Y Messenger. Skype works good between the Mac and a Toshiba, both built in web cams do what they are supposed to do. The problem is in Y Messenger, a video call to the Mac returns a message saying the software version (on the Mac) does not permit video. The video from the Toshiba is seen on the Mac but not vice versa. Both laptops are running the most recent versions of messenger. Is there a known Y Messenger video conferencing issue between a mac and pc?Thanks

Hmm…I believe CISCO WebEx Connect could fit all of these needs. I use it at work, unfortunately were not allowed to use all its features uses the bandwidth of the facility. But that program is pretty nice.

I want to learn Russian and am looking for a Russian Tutor. My wife is Russian and speaks Russian Language fluently, but I need a teacher to learn Russian basics and grammar while practicing unremarkable Russian conversation with my wife. I would prefer Russian native speaker, certifiable Russian Teacher/Tutor with a degree and experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language. I am open to local tutoring or online via Skype or other netting conferencing software. Any advice on where I tin find one?

Any help for connecting to logitech/SKYPE servers?

I recently purchased a logitech webcam. When I try to connect to the logitech servers for conversations a window automatically pop up that says that it cannot connect to the servers. After trying this a few different ways, I decided to use SKYPE. After trying to get that started I realized that this will also not connect to the server for them either. What setting(s) on my computer are not making me be able to connect to the servers of either of these netting-talking/conferencing software?

I don’t know what Logitech software you’re using, but Skype doesn’t depend on practically – it should just linked. I’ve victimised it behind corporate firewalls with no problem – it’s designed to just work.
