Webinars vs. Websites

It has been said that webinars are the most underestimated business model on the internet e’er, but it seems a lot of people aren’t doing them. They are centring more on building websites rather than covering this immense opportunity that is uncommitted with webinars. The question is why?

Let us get to the principal reason why people don’t do webinars.

It is all to do with people considering it is far too complicated for them to do. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth it just takes five minutes to placed one up. You simply necessitate to go through a few steps which are easygoing to dawdle and twist up with the audience at the advantageous time.

The problem is that you don’t yet cognize if your product is going to be a success or not. It could be a dud, and you would have blown all that time and effort into building that site permit solely the costs. Can you but ideate how tenacious it takes to posed up a website?

If you are a non-techie like me, moving downward geek street acquiring all that HTML puts my head in a whirl!

Why webinars though?

Hosting a webinar is cheaper, faster and more leveraged than a traditional website. More significantly, you can get 10 times more sales with a genuinely knock-down webinar.

Whether or not it is dwell or automated, the downright minimal you can anticipate is a 10% conversion. However, you must do certain that you over present with whatever you’ve promised in your presentation. Another thing, your solicit has to be connected to the topic of your webinar.

With a website it is a known that they merely converts around 1% which is regarded as full. Now, if we analogize this to a webinar, then it becomes a no brainer. Webinars romp hands downward.

There have still been reports of people receiving conversions in excess of 50% and doing a lot of money, yet from beginners!

Also, you can glimpse that each email on your database is meriting a lot more if you give veritable webinars. Simply because it is personal, interactive, dwell in many cases, and people get a sense of the host’s personality. Thus, the passion is much more knock-down, leveraged and credible.

Remember, websites withal have their place on the web it is merely that if you compare it with webinars, there is no comparison. Together, you have an outstanding combination for your online business.

Video Conferencing – How to Get More People to Attend Your Webinar

Cheow Yu Yuan asked:

Video conferencing allows you to conduct webinar that allows people from around the world to attend it without the need to travel. With video conferencing, you can engage your participants as if you are in a room with them. However, sometimes hosts find it hard to find people to attend their webinars.

There are many reasons why it is hard to get people to attend webinars. Firstly, not all people are used to attend meetings or seminars through a video camera. Another reason might be because of different time zones. People who are in different time zones from the host do not want to stay up late to attend it.
To get more people to your webinars, you need to make it attractive and relevant to the participants. If people are really interested in the topic that you are sharing, they can wake up at 3 am to attend your webinar!

To find people to attend your webinar is not hard. The participants can be your colleagues, business associates, list subscribers, customers, family members and friends. You just need to know how to entice them to attend it.

In this article, let me share with you some tips to get more people to attend your webinar:

1. Offer a free gift after registration. Write an e-book about the topic of the webinar and offer it as a free gift in your email invitation. If your e-book is good and people feel you have over-delivered the content, they will attend your webinar to get more tips from you.

2. Soften your email invitation approach. Do not use all caps and bold in your email subject line as this will only encourage them to send your email to the junk box. Send them a simple and sincere email to invite them to your webinar. Sometimes, you will find that this approach works better with people.

3. Get their suggestions for the topic of your webinar. People always like when someone asks for their opinions on something. Ask for suggestions and ask them to send their inputs by replying to the email. Alternatively, you can direct them to a page that allows them to place their comments.

4. Tell them you will answer their questions during the webinar. Through your email invitation, direct them to a page that allows them to submit their questions. Tell them that you will answer their questions during your webinar and encourage them to register immediately.

These are some ways to entice people to register your webinar. Just be creative and sincere and you should be able to see an increase in attendance.

How Can Webinar Software Help Your Business?

Tom Cruz asked:

Gone are the days where seminars have to be held in conference rooms of a hotel. Gone are the days when only certain people within a local vicinity can attend. Now, with webinar software, you can reach millions at once, all across the world. If you live in Washington state and you have potential attendees in New York, you have no problems in displaying your message throughout the country thanks to webinar software.

This type of software is taking its place or even replacing traditional conferences and meetings. Any person wishing to reach their targeted audience in the best possible manner makes use of webinars and its software programs. The great thing about this software is that it is not hard to learn and use, nor does it have to cost a fortune, which makes it really easy on your initial budget.

There are many software programs out there that are easy to use and affordable. Many of these programs offer everything you need for a successful webinar. For example, the software program might include:

o Registration Plans

o Delivery of the Webinar

o Recording of The Webinar

o Email Templates

o Toll-Free options for conference calls

o Practice Sessions

o Branding

These are just some of the features that you can enjoy with software for webinars. All of these are essential elements to a successful webinar. With this software, you can enjoy an all in one interface that takes you from registration and down the road towards delivery. All of this with one, easy to use, easy to understand software program.

The great thing about webinar programs is that it saves your business a great deal of money, time, and hassles. Let’s look at some of the hassles of having to organize a traditional seminar:

o Handouts

o Travel

o Accommodations For Organizers and Employees that Attend

o Booking The Conference Room

o Accommodations For Speakers

o Manual Registration

Now all of this is just the hassles, it does not include the time and money spent:

o Time it takes to Travel

o Costs of Travel

o Costs of Rentals

o Time it takes to set up the conference room

o Cost of multiple Employees Time

With a web conferencing software , these are almost obsolete hassles, time consumption, and costs. Webinars can be held right from your office, no travel is necessary for anyone, and all for so much less money than traditional methods.

If you are considering a webinar, you should definitely be considering a webinar program. It can save your business a great deal of worry and hassle by making everything seamless and easy.

Tips on Holding a Successful Webinar

Michael R. Burns asked:

In todays’ tough economic economy, businesses should look to using web conferencing technology to communicate with prospects and customers, train employees and customers and gather market research.

Webinar Host – Choosing the Best One For You

Tom Cruz asked:

One of the most important things with webinars is the host service that is used. A Webinar host is a necessary for any webinar. In most instances, you are going to want to go with a hosting provider that is going to provide you with all the features that you need in order to run your webinar. This means that in many cases you are going to want to look for a business that offers you both the hosting for the video but also offers you the ability to use either phone conferencing or is going to have voice over IP options.

You may also want to consider other things such as pricing plans. This is primarily going to be determined by the amount of use your webinar is going to have. For example, if you are going to be using it infrequently then you may want to consider what is called a per minute per seat rate. This type of payment plan is offered by hosts that deal with individuals or businesses that are infrequent users of webinars or who have webinars that have multiple levels.

For example, say you are training an entire department. You can do this in a single webinar by having all employees start out for the basics, then give the general information for each level with managers being the last individuals to leave the session. You are only changed for the number of people who are in the session and viewing at any given time. For infrequent uses, this is a perfect solution.

For individuals who have frequent webinars a flat rate monthly free may be more appropriate. This includes up to a certain amount of bandwidth and a certain number of seats per session. There are usually multiple packages allowing for as much or as little as you need. The final package is usually a per seat fee. With this fee package, usually it is so much per seat up to a certain number and then they may have discounts for seating after that number and usually include bandwidth charges.

Features may or may not be extra and may be available as independent additions to your package or available in packages. The features to look for in a webinar host are one such as voice over IP or phone conferencing options. You may also want to look for things such as chat rooms or even message boards. This allows you pick out the various options that are going to work the best for your webinar and your clients.

Researching into a webinar host that is going to provide you with what you need to run your business and your webinar is an essential part of creating a webinar and getting it out to the people, you are trying to reach. You will want to consider feature packages, fee plan and exactly what you need when it comes to a webinar host for your business and your clients, customers or staff.

What Is A Webinar?

Greg Roy asked:

As more businesses look for creative ways to reach new customers as well as cut costs of communicating, the subject of webinars often comes up. What is a webinar, and what benefits can it generate for a company?

To answer the question of “what is a webinar?” one need only look to a resource that has become common to businesses of all sizes during the past ten years: the Internet. The basic answer to “what is a webinar?” is that it is simply utilizing the Internet to share visual presentations and other documents with persons who are in various physical positions around the country or even around the world. The word webinar is derived from two root words: web and seminar. A webinar is a seminar using the web and web conferencing software. When a web conference is partnered with an audio conference call, the result is a powerful communications tool that can change the way your company does business.

A webinar can be a very simple affair that is used to convey information from corporate level to outlying locations. It may also be something much more complex that involves the ability for persons to work together on a common document, interact on a common project, or stream data out to a large number of locations.

It is important to think in terms of what this can do for your business. One of the most immediate benefits of a webinar is that it can eliminate a large portion of your company’s travel budget. While there will always be those occasions when a face to face meeting is a necessity, many business exchanges within your company can be handled with the use of a web conference. Meetings that once required travel by jet can now be handled via a web conference.

A web conference can also be used to connect with potential clients who are physically at a distance from your location. Even if your suggestion of holding the meeting via the Internet is first met with the question “what is a webinar?” a quick assurance that it is easy and would require less expense on their part will impress your customer. After all, you are using cutting edge technology to communicate with them and you are doing so with an eye to being respectful of their busy schedules. This is a win/win situation and it is an opportunity to raise their opinion of you and your company.

Webinars are an easy way to hold an ad hoc meeting with people in many different locations with almost no advance notice. As an example, assume you have a client that has just encountered a major problem. You know your company can bring them a solution. You simply prepare the necessary documents quickly, gather all relevant persons together for a webinar, and walk them through the solution. While this could be done with an audio conference alone, the added impact of visuals will often help drive home the effectiveness of your solution and allow your client to authorize your solution much more quickly. This could give you another opportunity to strengthen your presence with your customer.

Webinars are a tool that allows you to take persons on a tour of any web site you choose. Often, when you want to connect with a potential client who is too busy to set aside a couple of hours for a face to face meeting, you can get thirty minutes on an audio call and a session on the web. You can prepare some slides or a document to illustrate what your company can do for them; or if you have a really informative company web site, take your prospect to your company web site and point out a few facts that are prominently posted.

While we are several years away from a time when people will no longer ask “what is a webinar?” the answer will always vary, depending on what types of communication are most desirable to the person who makes the query. If it is documentation, then that is the main thrust of the response. If it is finding information on the web, the web-touring feature will be part of the answer. Should the main concern be finding time for meetings, then the time efficiency and cost savings of webinars will come to the fore. Whatever the need that is foremost in the mind of the person asking the question, there will be found the most appropriate answer to the question “what is a webinar?”
